Adams Parish is a parish in Middleton Island, Brunant. The parish capital is Adamstown and the largest town in the parish is Middleton. The current parish representative is Robert Helms. It has a population of just under 30,000, made up majority of Aragonese people (46%), with a significant dutch minority (37%) as well as small but notable English (8%), Arab (7%), and Latin minorities (1%). English is the most spoken language (94%), closely followed by Dutch (88%). Other spoken languages include Spanish (13%) and Arabic (7%). Recently the Parish has seen an influx of Muslim immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa into Middleton and the Mulsim majority Starford Locality. Unlike most of the rest of Brunant, each of the settlements (except Middleton) have remained somewhat monocultural, being much closer to their ethnic cultures than the Brunantian culture.
Coat of Arms[]
Initially the same as the Adamstown Coat of Arms, this was challenge by the other inhabitants, particularly those in Middleton who felt underrepresented. Following a vote in 1982 the Coat of Arms was changed to include wheat (symbolising the agricultural nature of the parish) and a crescent, symbolising the Muslim population (5%).
