Alexandra Carroll (born 9 March 1977) is a Corporal in the Royal Guard (6th Company). Prior to joining the military, she was a professional footballer. Corporal Carroll has been serving with the Guard as part of the Multinational Force Phaluhm Phoueck, participating in Operation Martel until being injured by a roadside bomb on 28 February 2017.

Footballing career[]
Carroll played football from a young age. She was a professional player from 1997 to 2002, playing at Grijzestad VFC, though only a regular started from 2000. In 2002 she retired due to some back issues.
Military career[]
She joined the guard and was posted to Cape Cross Military Base, having trained as an infantry member and specializing in ordnance disposal.
Personal life[]
She married Volkswagen salesman Gerald Brown in 2008 and they have two daughters.
