Barbara Morais (born 26 May 1973) is a Brunanter politician from Berrio. She is the current Mayor of Cristiana and a representative in the Legislature of Berrio.



She was born to Paulo Morais, a representative in the Legislature of Berrio for Cristiana in the 1970s and 1980s. Her grandfather was Vicente Morais, who served as administrator of Berrio from 1955-1963. She is a sister of David Morais, who famously played football for Cristiana Sports Club.

She is married to historian and teacher Kyle Stratton. They have three children and live in Cristiana.

Political careerEdit

Morais was elected to the Legislature as an independent in 2008. In 2016, she was elected Mayor of Cristiana. She was re-elected in 2018.

In 2019, Morais gained nationwide attention when she gave a speech about climate change at a climate conference in Koningstad. She also won the Mayor of the Year award that year, the first recipient to not come from mainland Brunant.
