Boguestown is a town in Brunant and the capital of Central Parish.
History[]

St. James Place
Boguestown was founded in 1549 as an inn along the road between Sint Markstad and Nieuw Helmond. It developed into a small market town around 1660, where local farmers would come to sell their goods. Scottish Borderers helped populate the town and named it after Bogues Wood, in southern Scotland. During the Civil War the settlement supported King Willem II and as a consequence much of the settlement was burnt. More borderers would arrive in the 18th century and the population would peak at 2200 by 1770. At the time mining was the main economic source in the region. Many left the town to look for opportunities elsewhere and the population sunk to around 400, only picking up in the 20th century. During the invasion of Brunant in 1941, the town was occupied during 1941 but for the most part was left alone, and as a consequence it became an operation base for the Underground Revolution.
Geography[]
The village is located near the foot of the Central Ranges, where townspeople would grow small quantities of olives. The town itself is relatively flat and the lowest point is St. James' Place, whose ground has sunk at parts to be lower than other areas in the town.
Government[]
The current government was elected in 2016.
