The One Chef is a Brunanter cooking series from BBN. The show is presented on BBN 4 and 3, in Dutch or with English dubbing. It is often compared to the series MasterChef or Hell's Kitchen but is noted for it's many different challenges.
The One Chef is presented and judged by chefs Jan Mertens and Emil Tasge. TOC started in 2007 as One chef...to rule them all, but was renamed for the 2008 edition. Tune in to BBN 3 or 4 at 16.00 to watch The One Chef.

The One Chef consists of 12 aspiring chefs looking to make their mark. They are divided into two teams, and are put through a series of challenges to show off their cooking. The challenges are mostly just cooking dishes for the chef to review, but others are more complex. They can include cooking for guests at a restaurant, running a food stand and preparing meals for food critics and other chefs.
The team who is deemed to have been worst in a challenge are forced to vote out a member, and this happens until only two are left, who face off in a final battle to determine who is... The One Chef.
Winners of the show have gone on to receive acclaim and have been featured in dining magazines, have been hired on to work in top restaurants or have found success on their own.
