GUSC's jersey
Grijzestad University S.C. (Dutch: Grijzestad Universiteit S.C.) is a multi-sport club based at the Grijzestad University, Grijzestad. It is best known for its football club, which this article is about. GUSC's football club was the first of GUSC's teams to be founded, in 1966, and currently competes in the 1. Liga in the AFC, following promotion in the 2012-13 season.
GUSC had two previous spells in the first league, in the 1997-98 and 2010-11 season, with other previous seasons having been spent in the Second League.
The primary sponsor of the football team, which has since 1986 been financially independent from the university, is De Arien Grijzestad of the De Arien conglomerate.
The korfball team of GUSC is the Grijzestad University Korfball Club.
