Jeremy Ferrer (born 17 July 1971) is the personal secretary of Queen Helene of Brunant. He has occupied the position since 2013, upon the queen's accession to the throne.

Biography[]

Ferrer was born in Sint-Willemstad. After graduating from the Detker College, he joined the Royal Guard in 1991 and studied at the Cape Cross Military Institute. From 1995 to 2007, he served with the 16th Armoured Company. In 2005, he was promoted to Commandant and became commanding officer of his company. He retired in 2007 and then took a position as a member of the Grijzestad University senate.

In 2013, he succeeded Lucas De Geus as the Secretary to the Royal Family in September 2014, after a selection process beforehand. He advises to Queen Helene and other members of the Royal Family.

Personal life[]

Ferrer married Jovana Jokić in 2006 and they have two daughters, both of whom study at the Maria Montessori School, the same school as Princess Marianne (the queen's daughter).
