Johannes de Jong (8 January 1940 - 24 March 2013) was a Brunanter film critic and author. He worked for De Waarheid from 1969 until his death and frequently appeared on television and radio, usually for the BBN. He was also the writer of three books on Brunanter cinema. De Jong became Brunant's first film critic to become a household name and has been described as "the most influential film scholar in the country".
He died of colon cancer in 2013. He was survived by his two daughters and his grandchildren.
