Holtby was the fastest girl in her age group on her swim team, and she began to pursue an olympic career when she was eleven, often beating much older athletes in her events. She did not qualify to participate in the 2008 Summer Olympics, although she was able to go to the the 2012 Summer Olympics. She went to the finals in the 100 and 200 meter backstroke, 100 and 200 meter breaststroke, and the 200 meter individual medley. She did not qualify for the finals in the 400 meter individual medley. Kirsten Holtby (29 March 1990 in Koningstad) is a Brunanter swimmer. She was born to John and Carline Holtby as a nice of Oliver Hewton. Her main strokes are breaststroke and backstroke, but she also participates in the individual medley.
