Kirsten Holtby (born March 29, 1990) is a Brunanter swimmer. She was born in Koningstad to John and Carline Holtby. She is a neice of Oliver Hewton. Her main strokes are breaststroke and backstroke, but she also participates in the individual medley.
Biography
Holtby was born on March 29, 1990. She took an interest in swimming from a young age, as her parents often swam, though not competitively. Holtby was the fastest girl in her age group on her swim team, and she began to pursue an olympic career when she was eleven, often beating much older athletes in her events. She did not qualify to participate in the 2008 Summer Olympics, although she was able to go to the the 2012 Summer Olympics. She went to the finals in the 100 and 200 meter backstroke, 100 and 200 meter breaststroke, and the 200 meter individual medley. She did not qualify for the finals in the 400 meter individual medley. After the completion of the races, she ended with a bronze medal in the 100 m breaststroke and a silver medal in the 200 m breaststroke.
