Robert Tholberg (29 October 1832 – 10 July 1897) was a Brunanter politician. He served as the Speaker of the Senate from 1872 to 1882, the longest tenure in Brunanter history. Simultaneously, he also served as a Senator from Adams Parish from 1868 until 1885. He also briefly served as Leader of the Opposition against Pieter Van Neyt in 1881, but was quickly replaced by Filip Van Buskirk. After being replaced by White Party member Ambroos Jansen in the 1885 General Election, Tholberg resigned from politics and died in 1897 in his home in Koningstad.

Early life[]
Tholberg was born on 29 October 1832 in Middleton, as the son of Willem Tholberg and Mary Douglas. Willem originated from the town of Arnhem in the Netherlands, while Mary originated from Glasgow in central Scotland.
