Standard FC, also known as Standard 88 Cape Cross, or simply Standard Cape Cross is a football club from Cape Cross, Brunant. It competes in the Second League. The shirts were produced by Kemburger company Meitas but are now made by the Spanish sportswear company Joma. They are sponsored by Medina.
History[]

2014/15 home shirt
Standard was founded in 1988 as a minor club, which participated in the Cape Cross League. It won that league four consecutive times, from 1991-1994 before being promoted to the Second League. In 2002 they were the 2. Liga champions and were promoted to the First League as the smallest club to ever participate. There, they lost all their games but one, which was a draw, and managed to score only ten goals (they conceded 55).
In December 2012, they acquired Cameroonian midfielder Paul Song from FC Kings for €1,000,000. The team signed on Swedish manager Robert Marius in their bid to achieve promotion to the First League. Standard won the 2013-14 Second League and were promoted to the First League again.
As promoted, Standard would not play their home games at Standard Park, but at Volkswagen Stadium. They finished last in the 2014-15 First League.
