Stefan El-Zein (1 May, 1991 in Koningstad) is a famous Brunanter footballer who plays as a midfielder for large Kemburger club Royal Battery FC. He is of Lebanese origins and his brother Ibra El-Zein plays for Dortmund SFC.
Biography[]
El-Zein was born in 1991 in the Arabian Quarter, Koningstad to former footballer Hamid El-Zein and Anthea van Genter. He joined the youth team of Arabian FC in 2008, but only played three games. In the seasons after, he played regularly and was awarded the Brunanter Young Player Award. In 2011, he moved to Lovian club FC Caltrava alongside his teammate Alvaro Perotti. In 2012, he moved to Brunanter team FC Willemstad for a fee of 3 million euros, where he would stay until January 2014 when he moved to Kemburger club Royal Battery FC. In Summer 2014, he returned to FC Willemstad. In Summer 2017, he returned to Royal Battery FC.
International career[]
El-Zein received his first cap as a substitute in a 2-2 draw with Hungary in 2012. His first goals for Brunant were in a friendly game against New Caledonia in 2010 when he scored twice. In early 2012, he was selected (along with his brother Ibrahim) to the Brunant national squad for the WFC 2012. In November 2014 he scored his fifth international goal.
